San Diego's NHI Murder Victim

Donna Marie Gentile escaped from a juvenile detention home and traveled to San Diego to begin a new life. In order to survive she turned to prostitution, only to find herself manipulated and abused by the San Diego Police Department. In 1985 she testified against two SDPD officers, and three months later was found brutally murdered.

She predicted her own death in a recording she left with her attorney to be made public  “in case I disappear,” saying that “someone with a badge may turn out to be a serious criminal”.

Donna’s first cousin unravels the evidence and discovers the shocking TRUTH of Donna’s murder, and of how, as a woman who fearlessly stood up for her rights at a time when women were supposed to remain silent, she was a true pioneer of today’s Me Too movement.
